As summer arrives across the countryside, we find ourselves grateful for the many reasons this season is so special in the communities we are fortunate to serve.

Not only are the days getting longer and the temperatures rising, but we're also seeing renewed energy throughout our local real estate market. Buyer activity has increased, more properties are going under contract, and closings are happening at a steady pace. After a slower start to the year, it's encouraging to see momentum building as we head into the heart of the summer season.

Beyond real estate, this time of year reminds us why so many people are drawn to life in our corner of Texas. Summer brings opportunities to gather with family and friends, support local businesses, attend community celebrations, and enjoy the simple pleasures of small-town living. From local festivals and markets to evenings spent outdoors with neighbors, these meaningful experiences help make our communities such wonderful places to call home.

Celebrating Our Summer Interns

Please join us in welcoming Addyson Maass to Round Top Real Estate this summer! Addyson is a rising sophomore at the University of Mississippi, where she is pursuing a degree in Political Science on the Pre-Law track. With her sights set on law school after graduation, she's working toward her lifelong goal of becoming an attorney. We're excited to have her energy, curiosity, and drive on our team as she gains hands-on experience in the real estate industry.

We're also thrilled to introduce David Anders, who is joining us while studying Agricultural Economics with a Real Estate focus at Texas A&M University. David is heading into his junior year and plans to build a career in Texas real estate after graduation. His passion for land, agriculture, and property makes him a natural fit for Round Top Real Estate, and we're excited to have him learning the ropes alongside our team this summer.

As we stand on the precipice of July 4, 2026, the United States is preparing to celebrate a milestone of unparalleled significance: our Semiquincentennial. Two hundred and fifty years ago, with a single sheet of parchment and fifty-six signatures, a bold experiment in democracy was born. Today, we reflect on a journey marked by resilience, innovation, and an enduring commitment to freedom. This isn't merely an anniversary; it's a nationwide reflection on our past, a celebration of our present, and a rededication to the future we're building together.

The spirit of 1776 is alive and well, manifesting in the grand celebrations planned across the nation. The White House Task Force on Celebrating America's 250th Birthday, alongside the America250 Commission, has orchestrated a year of festivities designed to engage all 350 million Americans. From the hallowed grounds of the National Mall to the vibrant streets of our leading historical cities, the American story is being told anew.

A Nationwide Tapestry of Celebration

The festivities are as diverse and expansive as the nation itself. In Washington, D.C., the year kicked off with the iconic Washington Monument transformed into a 360-degree storytelling canvas, guiding viewers through the eras of discovery, independence, and innovation. As we approach summer, the National Mall will host a master-planned celebration featuring pavilions from every state and territory, showcasing the unique contributions that make up our national tapestry.

But the celebration extends far beyond the capital. The "Freedom Trucks", state-of-the-art mobile museums, are traveling across the 48 contiguous states, bringing the story of American independence directly to communities, schools, and local gatherings. These rolling exhibits ensure that the Semiquincentennial is a truly national experience, accessible to all.

Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future

At the heart of these celebrations is a profound respect for the sacrifices that have secured our liberties. On Memorial Day, Arlington National Cemetery hosted a solemn Spirit of America Parade, honoring the service of our military through personal narratives from all 50 states. It's a poignant reminder that the freedom we celebrate was hard-won and must be continually safeguarded.

Yet, the Semiquincentennial is equally focused on the future. Initiatives like the Patriot Games, a national competition for high school athletes, and the USPTO National Inventors Hall of Fame Gala, highlight America’s enduring legacy of innovation and the promise of the next generation. As we honor the pioneers of our past, we're actively inspiring the trailblazers of tomorrow.

As July 4, 2026, approaches, we're invited to participate in this historic moment. Whether by attending a local event, engaging with the Freedom Trucks, or simply reflecting on what America means to us, every citizen has a role to play. The American journey is ongoing, and as we celebrate 250 years of independence, we reaffirm our commitment to the ideals that have guided us thus far. Frisch Auf Valley Country Club C-47 Flyover

This special celebration will be held before the Annual Frisch Auf Firework Show on July 3, 2026! It will feature a flyover of the historical warbird, “That’s All Brother”, the actual C47 plane that led the invasion of Normandy during WWII, and a breathtaking jump that pays tribute to our nation's rich history, freedom, and the brave men and women who have served. This event will not just be a performance for families to enjoy. It will be a salute from the skies to the land we love and get to call our own.
