Getting to Know Round Top: Round Top Winter Antiques Show

Every January a mini-antique show pops up in Round Top. If you’ve never been to a Round Top antique show, this is a great place to start! The Round Top Winter Antiques Show is on a smaller scale, and allows shoppers to take their time browsing, visit with vendors, and avoid the lines that tend to form during the Spring and Fall shows.

More than anything, this is a great excuse to head to Round Top. Located between Houston and Austin, Round Top, Texas is an easy weekend or day trip.

The Round Top Winter Antique Show

Just like the Spring and Fall shows, the Round Top Winter Antiques Show opens up on different days depending on the location. The earliest vendors are open is Thursday, January 20, although some wait until Friday to welcome guests.

This condensed version of the show carries-on through January and closes on Sunday, January 24. Most vendors are open all day and they will be excited to see you!

Shopping Locations

Cole’s 2022 Winter Show runs Thursday – Sunday. Doors will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. With free admission and free parking, this is a great indoor option for browsers and shoppers.

Another fun stop during the show is Junk Gypsy! Located on Highway 237, they will have a big ole’ barn sale going on, as well as their regular store…which is amazing by the way! You can expect to find clothing, home goods, and tons more. You never really know what they will have!

If you are coming into Round Top from Highway 290, you might notice a Big Red Barn on the left side of Highway 237. This venue is a regular participant in every show! They will feature some of their favorite original show dealers, as well as some of the best Round Top Vendors!

The best part? It’s all in a big, climate controlled, barn, so weather is never an issue. Food and beverage are also available inside. Tickets are required and can be purchased ahead of time or at the door.

Year-Round Shopping

Of course, there will be shopping at the year-round stores as well. Henkel Square, Round Top Village, Bootlegger’s Antiques, McCall Style, Carmine Antiques, Oak Hill Trading, Unique Antiques, Carmine Trading Post, Market Hill, and Rummel Square are just a few businesses that welcome shoppers throughout the year.

Some of these businesses might even take advantage of the show and offer extended offers and specials. If you want to get a taste of what each store is offering, look them up on social media ahead of time.
