There are a wide variety of options for the whole family in our area. Centrally located, Round Top is just a short drive to larger towns that have hosts of events throughout the summer. Here’s a Guide to Summer for some of the biggest events in our area!
Whether you plan to spend an extended weekend here or just want to make a trip down for the day, there is sure to be several options available for you.
Magnolia Days Festival – Columbus
Head over to Columbus on May 20 – 21 and join the Chamber for the annual festival held on the Courthouse Square! Take a self-guided walking tour of the historic buildings, take photos with the Magnolia Belles on the square, shop in the vendor marketplace, sample food and beverages, and enjoy the Family Fun Zone!
Enjoy live music by Big Richard, The Slags and Zack Walther Band on Friday, Kaitlin Butts, The Damn Quails, London Baileigh, Shiner Hobo Band, Go Go Tuco and Wade Bowen Saturday!

Round Top Summer Show – Round Top
Over the past several years, the Round Top Summer Show has gained popularity. Coinciding with 90 Miles on 90, an event with more than 90 miles of yard, garage and antique sales along Highway 90, you’re sure to find plenty of vendors to look at!
Held the first weekend in June, this event is currently booked with around 12 vendors, plus the year-round businesses that remain open, including stores in Henkel Square, Bybee Square, and Round Top Village.
3rd Annual Artwalk – Chappell Hill
Located off of Highway 290, Chappell Hill is a quaint little town booming with rich culture. The third annual Artwalk will give you the opportunity to meet and watch artists at work! There will also be art work of all different mediums available for purchase to support these local artists.
The Artwalk will be held Saturday, May 28 from 10:00 – 4:00, but don’t rush off! There are several local businesses to walk in and around while you are there.
Summer Sip & Art Walk – Brenham
Saturday, June 11, head to downtown Brenham for a fun afternoon spend sipping different specialty drinks and viewing a variety of art. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit all of the great stores located in historic downtown.
Glasses are $35 if you grab them in participating stores, or $40 online. Glasses will be available the day-of if they don’t sell out ahead of time! Tickets can be purchased here.
Hot Nights, Cool Tunes – Brenham
One of the most popular summer events in the area is downtown Brenham’s Hot Nights, Cool Tunes! Beginning July 9 and held the following Saturdays in July, head to downtown with your lawn chairs, ready for a good time. Bands will perform live music and vendors will be set up around the courthouse selling food and drinks.
The featured bands this year are The Fab 5, a Houston band featuring music by The Beatles and other British invasion bands from the 60’ss and – July 9, Ashmore – July 16, Brown Sugar Band – July 23, and The Spicolis – July 30.
Sunday Fundays at Brazos Valley Brewery – Brenham
Every Sunday, Brazos Valley Brewery is open from 12:00 – 7:00 with events for the entire family. Food trucks, nachos & pretzels, live music, kid’s playground, beer, wine and cider are all available.
Follow them on Facebook to view the featured musician for the day. This is a great place to hang – plus, they are kid AND pet friendly! In addition to Sunday Funday, BVB also hosts Hop Day Wednesday, Tacos & Trivia Thursday, and Friday Vibes.
Sunday Fundays – Burton
Enjoy food, history, shopping and more in Burton through Sunday Funday, Sundays in March through May 2022!
Blue Willow, Bootleggers Antiques & Unique Decor, Burton Railroad Depot & Museum, Burton Short Stop, Los Patrones, Neon Moon Coffee, Peeka Ranch Alpacas, Saddlehorn Winery and Texas Junkr are all open for Sunday Fundays!
