September 2026 | A Letter from the Owners

As fall approaches, Round Top is preparing for one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year. Cooler temperatures, the return of the Fall Antiques Show, and a full calendar of events bring renewed energy to our community.

The season also offers many opportunities to gather in support of causes close to our hearts, including the Round Top Family Library Gala, the Round Top Film Festival Gala, and the Arts for Rural Texas Gala. Giving back while enjoying time with friends and neighbors is a wonderful example of what it means to live in and around Fayette County. In this issue, we’re sharing a guide to these celebrations, Fall Show events, and other local happenings you won’t want to miss.

As we assess the real estate market, the trends continue to show that properties are moving, but thoughtful preparation and a strategic approach to pricing are more important than ever. Today’s buyers are informed and selective, making it essential for sellers to position their properties well from the start. Whether you’re considering buying, selling, or simply curious about the market, our team is here to provide the local knowledge and guidance you need to achieve your goals.

We look forward to welcoming another memorable fall season and celebrating everything that makes Round Top and the surrounding communities so special.

Your Source for the Fall Round Top Antiques & Design Show

Dust off your boots and mark your calendars — the Fall Round Top Antiques & Design Show is almost here! From October 17–31, 2026, our quiet little stretch of Texas countryside transforms into a treasure hunter's paradise, drawing pickers, designers, collectors, and curious wanderers from across the country. Whether you're on the hunt for that perfect farmhouse find, a one-of-a-kind statement piece, or simply here for the sights, the scenes, and the pie... There's nothing quite like fall show season in Round Top.

For two glorious weeks, the fields and historic halls along Highway 237 fill with tents, barns, and showrooms brimming with antiques, vintage goods, art, and design inspiration. And the show is only the beginning! This season is packed with wine trails, galas, proms, and harvest festivals that showcase everything we love about calling this place home. As your neighbors (and proud sponsors of more than a few of the festivities), we've rounded up our favorite events, insider tips, and can't-miss stops to help you make the most of it all.

Below, you'll find our complete fall guide, including where to find us pouring wine on the wine trail, which galas we'll be dressing up for, and a special video from our own Caroline Wolff with local tips for navigating the show like a pro. And when you pick up the show editions of The Real Estate Locator and PaperCity's Round Top guide, keep an eye out! You'll spot some familiar faces! Happy hunting, y'all. We'll see you in the fields.

Meet Crady Newton

Some people discover Round Top later in life. For Crady Newton, it's been part of his story all along.

Crady's family has owned property in the Round Top area since 1990, long before the antique shows put our little town on the national map. He grew up knowing these back roads, these fence lines, and this community not as a visitor, but as a landowner. That firsthand connection gives him something no amount of market research can replicate: a genuine understanding of what it means to own, steward, and love land in this part of Texas.

Of course, deep roots are only half the story. Crady brings more than two decades of professional experience to the table, having launched his real estate career in commercial real estate in Houston back in 2004. Over the years, he's built a broad foundation in brokerage, land transactions, and development, experience that serves his clients well when navigating the many considerations that come with buying and selling land, from acreage and property characteristics to long-term stewardship and ownership goals.

As a Broker Associate specializing in farm and ranch properties throughout the Round Top area, Crady combines big-market expertise with a landowner's perspective. He understands the practical realities of owning property in the country because he lives them himself, and that combination of professional knowledge and personal investment allows him to guide his clients with the kind of thoughtful, well-informed counsel that land transactions deserve.

Get to know Crady and the communities he serves here. Whether you're searching for your own piece of the countryside or preparing to pass a cherished property on to its next steward, Crady would be honored to help you navigate the journey. Please join us in giving him a warm Round Top welcome!

Meet Ben Kastleman

Some people visit the country and dream of staying. Ben Kastleman actually did it.

Growing up in Houston, Ben spent his childhood visiting friends' and family's properties in the Round Top area... and somewhere along those gravel roads and wide-open pastures, a lifelong love affair with country living took root. In May of 2020, he made the full-time move and never looked back, calling it one of the best decisions he has ever made. It's a story his clients know well, because helping others find their own slice of country heaven is exactly what Ben does best.

But Ben's knowledge goes far beyond appreciation. It's hands-on. He brings a lifetime of expertise not just in the Round Top area, but in ranch and property management, giving his clients practical, grounded guidance whether they're buying their first weekend retreat or selling a working ranch. When Ben walks a property with you, he sees it the way an owner would... because he is one.

These days, you might also find Ben and his wife, Jordan Geibel, welcoming guests to The Halles, their venue right here in Round Top. If the name sounds familiar, it should. The Halles is one of the venues hosting events during this year's Fall Round Top Antiques & Design Show, making it a perfect stop on your show itinerary. Be sure to check out their video below for a peek inside this beautiful space!

Beyond business, Ben and Jordan are deeply woven into the fabric of this community. From the Fayetteville Community Center and Performance Theatre to Festival Hill Institute and the Round Top Family Library, they give their time and energy to the organizations that make our area thrive. For Ben, living and working in the country isn't just a career — it's a calling, and he shares that love with every client he serves.
