July 4th Celebrations
If you are looking for a fun July 4th celebration, you’ve come to the right place. There are several different options that go on each year in the area. Parades, fireworks, BBQ…you name it, we’ve got it.
We’ve gathered all of the information for the best places you and your family can spend the holiday so all you’ve got to do is pick your destination and hit the road! Oh, and maybe grab a water bottle or two…things tend to be sweltering down here this time of year.
Round Top
Of course we had to start our list with the longest running July 4th celebration west of the Mississippi. People from miles away come to town for this Independence Day spectacular!
The morning kicks-off at 10:30 with the firing of the cannon on the Courthouse Square lawn. Then the parade commences, led by the beloved Round Top Brass Band.
Handmade floats, antique cars and tractors, fire engines, trail riders and longhorn cattle follow for this one-of-a-kind parade.
Afterwards, you can head down the road to the Round Top Rifle Hall for live music, delicious BBQ, raffle and games for the kids.
Chappell Hill
Running strong for 45 years is the Chappell Hill 4th of July Parade! Voted best small town 4th of July Parade in Texas, this July 4th celebration is a must-see.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. You don’t want to miss out on the “World Famous Marching Kazoo Band”! Oh, and if you aren’t the kind to just watch, feel free to sign your kids up to join in on the fun!
While you’re in town, stop by the Chappell Hill Museum and other historic buildings! Many shops will be open as well.
Independence
Celebrate Independence in Independence! This close-knit community begins their July 4th celebration at 2:00 with a trail ride.
Afterwards, a parade begins at 5:00, followed by live music with a street dance and fireworks!
The Risky Liver Band is set to take the stage this year, so you are guaranteed to have a great time!
Kenney Hall
If you don’t absolutely love the thought of spending hot day outside, head over to Kenney Agriculture Hall!
Lunch will be served from 11:00 – 1:00. In addition to the amazing food, you’ll have other refreshments, music and fun activities throughout the day!
Bellville
Beginning at 5:00, enjoy Bellville’s July 4th Celebration at the Austin County Fairgrounds.
There will be live music by Mason Marek & Logan Skloss, followed by Easy Money Band!
In addition, there will be a children’s wagon parade, food, Phenix Knives, and fireworks.
