Home Trends for Spring 2022

Home Trends for Spring 2022

With a new season comes new trends, and homes are no different. The Home Trends for Spring 2022 have us giddy with excitement!

Whether you prefer a cozy farmhouse, or like to edge things up a bit with a sleek, modern feel, these latest fads are sure to fit your home’s motif, all while ensuring your casa is keeping current with the times.

Spring Colors

Regardless of what Punxsutawney Phil said, we are keeping our sights on warmer weather. The start of February means we are that much closer to the beginning of March, and in Texas, once we get to March, you can go ahead and bring out the pool toys.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

Once the Christmas decorations come down, our homes tend to feel a bit bleak. This is the perfect time to spruce up your home and get things set for the spring.

Homey Vibes

According to Southern Living, the days of gray are out the window. Move over cloudy-sky-colored-pillows, it’s chocolate’s time to shine! Shades of brown ranging from light camel, to rich, dark mocha are making a comeback because they’re, well, classic!

Utilizing these warmer tones can help bring in that “homey” vibe we are all searching for. With more and more people working from home, it’s time to focus on making our spaces feel as cozy as possible.

The Bold Type

For the past few years, light, bright, minimalistic homes have graced the covers of design magazines, taken over Pinterest boards, and caused us all to pull our hair out over Alabaster or Atrium White. But things are beginning to shift.

Bold, moody colors are creeping up in popularity, and we can’t say we mind. From kitchen cabinets, to mud rooms, to velvet chairs, these jewel tones are making a statement in all the right ways.

Very Peri

With a new year comes a new color and Pantone has made a statement with 2022’s Color of the Year. Very Peri is a versatile color that can easily be thrown into your traditional spring decor.

With a hue that is dark enough to compliment winter, but light enough to easily transition into warmer weather, something as small as a colored throw pillow can bring this tone into your favorite space.

Keeping Things Traditional

One of the things Round Top is most known for is our outpouring of gorgeous antique pieces available at our Winter, Spring and Fall Antique Shows. We love a timeless feel and it looks like the rest of the design world is starting to agree!

You’ve probably noticed that traditional pieces and natural wood have slowly been making a comeback over the past few years and we are definitely on-board with this. Whether you prefer Old English or French Countryside, you can go ahead and splurge on that credenza you’ve been eyeing each year at the show. It’ll be the perfect addition to your home, and as an added perk, keep you feeling very trendy.

Your Home is Your Castle

Of course, your home should be exactly the way you want it to be. 2020 showed us more than ever how important feeling good in your space is, but it never hurts to make your space pretty too!
